BiBNI.org is a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to breaking down barriers and empowering individuals through practical learning. Our team of experienced, qualified instructors delivers hands-on training in communities across Northern Ireland, using mobile workshops and all the equipment needed for a safe, engaging experience.

Our Story
Sarah, founder of Building It Better NI, combines her role as a mother with her mission to create opportunities for others. With years of experience teaching construction and DIY, she translates complex concepts into practical learning, fostering skills and confidence in her students. Passionate about empowering communities and increasing female representation in male-dominated sectors, Sarah works to inspire and support women to realise their potential and pursue their aspirations.
Michelle began her DIY journey like many women unsure where to start and without formal training teaching herself everything from drilling to tiling. What started as a personal challenge became a passion to empower others. She now helps women gain the skills and confidence to take control of their own spaces, creating a supportive, judgment free environment where anyone can begin their DIY journey.
